It is just as Epic, historic, and totally inaccurate as the comedy clic. Arthur and his knights, charged by God on a sacred quest ( http://www.handster.com/games_strategy.htm ) to seek the Holy Grail, find a castle inhabited by you, the merry and mischievous French barbarians who claim to have the Holy Grail. Now you have to defend your citadel, from the invading Englishmen by using an adjustable catapult and launching a variety of projectiles at the targets below.
Fling chickens, cows, European and African swallows, and other barnyard animals to keep those knights out. You are not limited by the amount of ammo you have, but have to complete each level within a certain amount of time. Each level features an English battering ram rolling towards your French defenses, and if this battering ram reaches you, the level is over. The English targets you must destroy are often built on top of this battering ram, so you will have to re-adjust your aim with each shot.
Players will be able to upgrade their catapult, as well as load it with more than just cows. In addition to ducks, geese, and pigs, you can also use other items such as the kitchen sink, and insults as weapons. Different projectile have different capabilities. Projectiles include, a bird that splits into three, a bird that drops an explosive egg, the three-headed knight that spells doom for all who approach, and the 'insult' which will put fear and self doubt in the minds of the English. Build up your arrogance meter my taunting that silly king, to unlock other animals.
There are several power up's dropping from the sky which you can use for bonus effect. For example, if you launch a cow through the bacterium falling from the sky it will turn into a mad cow and do tons of damage. There are also power-down's that you have to avoid. If you launch an animal through them, it will cause your shot to fall to the ground. Some clips from the movie are included in the game as well. Overall Monty Python Cow Tossing is a fun, silly game that will keep you entertained for hours.
