If I asked you what are the biggest material decisions you have made or are likely to make in your life, it is highly probable that moving house or buying a car would feature prominently.
Because of their relative importance, we expend a significant amount of time and energy on them. When you think about anything at length it moves from your conscious to your subconscious mind. When that occurs, “interesting” things start to happen.
A few years ago, I decided to buy a new car. As a Motivational speaker my job involves quite a lot of driving so I was familiar with most Irish towns. This time the journey appeared different. As if by magic, new car dealerships seemed to appear out of nowhere. Indeed in my local town it almost seemed as if the car dealer premises had a more imposing structure, it had moved even closer to the road! Time for a rest, lets’ look at the paper. Again absolutely nothing in it except car adverts. As for the TV and radio, the motor industry must be their only source of advertising revenue! Finally I bought the car. I hoped, I made the right choice. I did. Over the next few days I saw many people driving the exact same car model and colour as mine! Good decision! Of course. This ability to create an external environment in line with your internal desires can have both positive and negative consequences. Just imagine you are completely negative about everything you experience. What do you think your external world will reflect? What type of people do you think you will attract? What type of circumstances and events will you be exposed to?
Now, think about a major purchase in your life, for example, your car. See if you can identify any parallels with my story. It does not necessarily have to be a significant purchase. New mothers will tell you that suddenly all they see when they go anywhere are other mothers with their infants. All experience is relevant to what level of priority it takes in your life.
As a motivational speaker, my focus has been on developing a worldwide presence over the past decade – just like buying a car, I have continually attracted teachers, circumstances and events that have progressed me on my journey from a World cl web designer to a World Cl conference organiser!
You will soon start to see that this magnetic power has been operating your whole life. Your challenge is to start exploiting this resource - Now!!
